Terms and Conditions

  • 1 The applicant shall during his/her study-abroad programme:

    ・cooperate with each other and strive for carrying out successfully his/her study-abroad programme.
    ・follow the law of the country where he/she stays during his/her study-abroad programme.
    ・prohibit the dangerous objects to the University and its premises.
    ・not harass such as yelling and making a noise.
    ・not be late/absent of the lessons without an inevitable case such as an accident and illness.
    If the applicant does not follow the above, he/she shall agree to terminate his/her study-abroad programme and to return home at his/her own expense.
  • 2 The applicant is responsible for his/her own possessions during his/her study-abroad programme.
  • 3 All the expenses caused by the applicant’s injury or fatal accident during his/her study-abroad programme, regardless of the cause, shall be covered by his/her overseas travel accident insurance.
    The applicant, his/her family representatives, parents, and other related parties shall exempt the ICC International Communications Council (hereinafter the ICC) from any liability.
  • 4 The applicant and his/her parents (the guarantor) agree that he/she is to be treated properly about the injury, accident, and/or illness during his/her study-abroad programme.
  • 5 The applicant and his/her parents (the guarantor) agree that his/her name and/or photo may be broadcasted in a a television, newspaper, internet, and poster about his/her study-abroad programme.
  • 6 The applicant understands that Fees can be paid by bank transfer.
    The ICC's bank details for the purpose of paying the Fees are available on the statement issued to the applicant along with the Confirmation.
  • 7 The applicant shall pay the cancellation and extra fee such as an air-ticket, if the study-abroad programme is aborted or shortened because of an event of force majeure, that shall include but shall not be limited to riot, war, threat of war, civil strike, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, unusually adverse weather conditions and infectious diseases, that are unforeseeable circumstances to the ICC.
  • 8 The applicant understands that an online course will not be delivered when the communication means, including communication network and its application, become unusable and the ICC will not be responsible for any costs incurred by or on behalf of the applicant, as a result of causes beyond the ICC’s reasonable control. Such causes shall include but shall not be limited to riot, war, threat of war, civil strike, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, unusually adverse weather conditions and infectious diseases.
  • 9 The applicant understands that an onsite residential course will not be delivered when both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the applicant’s country and the UK Ministry of Foreign Affairs prohibit officially travelling to each other’s country, as a result of causes beyond the ICC’s reasonable control.
    Such causes shall include but shall not be limited to riot, war, threat of war, civil strike, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, unusually adverse weather conditions and infectious diseases.
    The ICC will not be responsible for any costs incurred by or on behalf of the applicant, as a result of causes beyond the ICC’s reasonable control.
    Such causes shall include but shall not be limited to riot, war, threat of war, civil strike, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, unusually adverse weather conditions and infectious diseases.
  • 10 The applicant swears that everything he/she has written on this application form is true and accurate.
  • 11 The applicant agrees that the ICC shares the information of the applicant with its related organizations for the purpose of operational management.
